If you’re an avid reader like me, you may be in agreement that one can never have too many bookmarks!

I designed this bookmark earlier in the summer, inspired by mermaids and the fun coastal colors of my crochet thread.

This pattern requires a 1.5mm hook and #10 crochet thread, as well as a sewing needle to weave in ends.

Fasten off and repeat process from row 64 on other side by joining yarn to outer most stitch and working towards the middle. When you finish row 75, fasten off and weave in your ends. When I initially finished these bookmarks they had the tendency to curl quite a bit, but I steamed them with my iron and put them between two blocking mats to help them flatten out. You may want to put something heavy, such as a stack of books, on top of it.

I hope you enjoy these mermaid tail bookmarks! Happy reading, and happy yarning!
